I answered this on yahoo answers, they asked how do you close a frozen application without turning off your computer, they were talking about their browser, but this works with any application.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and the Task manager should pop up if not then select the option that says something about opening the Task manager. Ok go to Applications(tab) and select the browser you are useing, (Ex: i use firefox, so i would look for Firefox, or the name of the page your on with your browsers icon)You might use Microsoft Internet Explorer. Ok well select it and choose "End Task".
Ok well sometimes this will not work, so select "processes" on the Task manager tabs. and look for your web browsers, again i use Firefox so i would look for Firefox, once you find yours click on it and then click on "End Process" Be careful if you Use Internet Explorer, becareful not to close Explorer.exe(that is windows Explorer and it will remove your toolbar and start menu) make sure it says Iexplorer.exe but in case you do remove Explorer.exe, just turn off your computer and your toolbar and start menu will come back. Hint: a lot of the time the frozen application will use a lot of memory so just sort the list out by Memory, and a lot of the times it will be on top, or close to top.

I have enough ram to where my programs don't freeze. But if you happen to know how to do this in win98 that would relevant to my interests.
