Do you have a super awesome computer that loads a program as soon as your finger double clicks on it, but then when you open up your web browser you have to wait years for a page to load? Well if you do, i feel your pain, i use dial up because i have no other choice since i live in bloomington. Well here are a few tips you can do to improve your web experience in Firefox while useing dial up. First were going to change Firefox Cache, so it can store more data so you dont re-download the same website elements. Say You visit TA Forums every day and every day you have to wait for it to load, but you notice how some things like the banner appear right away. Well that is because it is stored on your computer for faster access, but since FF assumes your useing a fast internet connection it only uses a small amount of your computer to store data, that is why only some things(like the banner) appear automatically and some load every time you visit this site. Well you can change that a little bit. Here is how... Go to Tools>Options>Advance(tab)>Network(tab) and under Cache change the default 50Mb to something higher. i changed mine to 2500Mb, since i have a lot of space to spare. Another thing you can do is not load Images. I know its a little 2 drastic, but if you want real speed then you can do this. Go to Tools>Options>Content(tab)> and uncheck "Load Images automatically". This will only show the text of sites, and doesn't load any images.
